Spa spot: June 2016

Where are we?

Where can you immerse yourself in water heated to a toasty 34°C – 36°C which comes all the way from a glacier before bubbling up into this valley from a depth of 1,800m?

This space-age playground of water domes blends perfectly into the contours of the valley. Just lie back in these steaming tea cups and soak in the views of the surrounding Ötztal peaks.

The three thermal pools on stilts – massage, whirlpool and brine – are cleverly connected to the indoor pools via two babbling brooks.

But if your happy (and who wouldn’t be) to relax outside in the domes you can enjoy the underwater music of the brine pool, the geyser at the centre of the massage pool and last, but by no means least, the millions of air bubbles bursting into the whirl pool.

The pools are situated in beautiful landscaped gardens designed by the artist Peter Paul Tscheikner.

You can reach this spa via the Inntal Autobahn or through the Arlberg Tunnel or through the Brennerpass heading towards Längenfeld.
