The Spa at Terre Blanche, part of the Leading Hotels of the World and The SPA Traveller Award Winner 2013 for Readers Choice' - Best Spa Hotel / Resort (more than 50 rooms: France is set in the picturesque countryside of Provence.
Boasting sauna, steam, laconium and experience showers for men and women and also next to the 20 metre indoor pool, you are spoilt for choice. The pool is connected to an outdoor vitality pool and relaxation garden with sun loungers, where you can enjoy the warmth and scent of the spacious herb gardens.
A total of 12 treatment rooms, two couples treatment rooms (with private terrace) hair salon, boutique, gym and yoga studio – ensure you can easily spend a day there with plenty to do. The luxurious brands on offer include Sodashi and Ivo Pitanguy.
For massage and body treatments, you are invited to choose your essential oil combination at reception, prior to your treatment. Keen to be revitalised and refreshed after my massage, I chose one of my favourite combinations - Lemongrass and Mandarin. Lavender, Jasmine and Ylang Ylang were the other options.
I then enjoyed a full head to toe body massage which was expertly done and thoroughly enjoyable. Targeting each major muscle group, including a stomach and head massage, it was bliss.
Terre Blanche is a five-star resort and one of Europe’s premier golfing destinations with two 18-hole golf courses. The food alone is worth a visit as there are four restaurants on site including Faventina serves exquisite French gastronomy (including a tasting menu that is the best I’ve ever experienced).
Accommodation at Terre Blanche is set in a series of suites and villas dotted around the gardens of the main building. You rarely see other guests and there is a true feeling of seclusion and privacy.
My top tip is to plan some time to relax by the large infinity pool which has views across the Provence countryside. Lazy days by the pool, sipping cocktails – it’s heaven in Provence.
A suite in Terre Blanche is from 295 Euros B&B per room/per night
Head to Toe Massage (two hours) with aromatherapy oil is 270 Euros
